Our Story

Aurani started because I needed it to. I felt so overwhelmed. Overstimulated. Running on empty. Not really sure how to stop or even pause. I needed time out, a break away from it all. Like a lot of people, I kept looking for ways to wind down that didn't involve another screen, another doom scroll, or even another hour lost to something that didn't actually help.

Life gets fast paced. Really fast paced. When it does, everyone finds their thing. Some people meditate. Others go to the gym. For me, it became colouring. Mindful colouring when I needed a moments peace.

It started as something small. Something quiet. Just me, a page, and a little bit of breathing room. Over time, it became a ritual. Once a week, minimum. No phone, no noise, no pressure.

It became my version of self care. Not quite the polished social media kind where you're all of a sudden a colouring expert with fancy patterns and shading. The real kind. The kind that helps you feel like yourself. No expectations.

So I decided to create my own. Colouring books designed with intention, with a quiet nod to mental health woven through every page. I wanted to make something that felt like more than just pretty patterns. Something that acknowledged that sometimes we're not okay, that slowing down can feel hard, and that taking care of your mind matters. As that's what Aurani is rooted in.

Not a perfect wellness routine. Not a polished lifestyle. Just the honest need to slow down, reduce the noise, and give yourself permission to do something that's purely for you and stress-free.

Progress over perfection, always. Some weeks I manage it, some weeks I don't. That's okay. The point is coming back to it. Looping back around when I need to. Taking away the pressure of trying to be perfect. It doesn't matter if you colour over the lines, choose pink to colour a frog or decide you only want to use one single colour. There is no right or wrong. You don't have to use marker pens, you can use pencils, glitter pens, crayons if you wish. Just pick up whatever it is you feel like.

If you're here, you probably get it. You're looking for that same thing, a little bit of breathing room in a world that doesn't offer much of it.

Aurani was created for that space. I hope one day we build a community of like-minded people dealing with something or another and our escape becomes our normality.

A quiet moment.
A softer pace.
A reminder that you're allowed to pause.
